The 9th Annual Student Academic Conference is scheduled for October 18 & 19th at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott in Queens NY. Last year’s “sold-out” event was held right here in Buffalo, attracting participants from all over New York State. If you have not had the opportunity to attend the event, it is both fun and inspiring.
The conference’s main focus is giving students an opportunity to present their work to the larger ESC community.
The Student Academic Conference is a two day event where Empire State College students from around the state (and beyond) gather to present their academic and creative work through panel discussions, workshops, multimedia presentations, poster displays and artwork. The range of student work is multi-disciplinary as reflected by our diverse student body. (as printed from the esc.edu website)
Presenting can be make a nice addition to your professional portfolio. By attending the conference you will get incredible networking opportunities as well as gain a broader understanding of the scope of work being done by students at ESC. Other social events, speakers and more round out the two-day experience.
So, consider presenting or even just attending, either way the weekend is well worth it!
For more information about the conference visit the STAC page and check often for updates. Limited scholarships may be available to help defray travel costs. Keep your eyes open for these and other details.
See you this Fall in NYC!
