Have you heard about Mahara? Well if you haven’t, according to MyESC, “Mahara is an ePortfolio system you have access to through your Moodle account. There are many things you can do with Mahara: store files, publish those files into pages that you can share, and connect with other members of the college community. Depending on your connection with the college (for example, as a graduate student, a student in the nursing program, a student in CDL or a student in a regional location like Syracuse), you may be using Mahara in different ways. But, no matter what, this space is available for your use.”
According to Dr. Rhianna Rogers, Mentor from the Niagara Frontier Center, she found great links for student-friendly Ed Planning, Community Support Groups, and PLA advice and help as well.
To create an Mahara account, go to Moodlerooms at http://www.esc.edu/moodle, and enter your college login and password. Once you are connected to Moodlerooms, look in the upper right-hand side of the page and click the link for ESC Mahara located in the block labeled Network Servers. If you are a first-time user, this will create your Mahara account. If you are a returning user, you will be connected to the Mahara homepage where you will find introductory information about using Mahara.
Here are some links to help you learn more about it.

What do you think? Should NFC have a Mahara Student page as well?
